ONC PG Calls On PINL To Always Include Critical Stakeholders In Strategic Meetings 

 

The President General of Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has called on Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) to always endeavour to reach out to critical stakeholders involved in the the fight against pipeline vandalism in their meetings. 

 

The ONC PG, who doubles as the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, made the call on Thursday, 14th August, 2025, following the non-inclusion of his groups in a stakeholders’ meeting organized by PINL, which was aimed at strengthening community relations and addressing the persistent issue of pipeline sabotage.

 

Amb. Comr. Emeni Ibe submitted that based on their many years of advocacy and hard stance against pipeline vandalism and illegal oil activities, his groups deserve attention whenever issues resolving around the safety of oil pipeline are being discussed.

“Over the years, our groups have been known for our concerted efforts and strong advocacy in the region. We have preached in every corner of the Niger Delta, sensitising the youths that vandalism is not good as it results to economic loss for the nation and brings environmental degradation and destruction of lives of our people.”

 

“We see our exclusion from strategic meetings as error or oversight on the part of the organisers. The Orashi National Congress remains open to work hand-in-hand with PINL and other relevant agencies to carry out continuous sensitization across the region about the dangers and consequences of pipeline vandalism.

 

“Going forward, the ONC, as a proactive voice for peace, development and security in the region, we therefore, call on Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) to include our members in strategic meetings aimed at creating awareness and protecting national assets” Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe stated.
