The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has highly commended the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale, for the comprehensive security measures put in place, which guaranteed a peaceful and hitch-free Yuletide Season so far across the state.
While addressing the media on Wednesday 31st December, 2025, Ambassador Ibe said, “I wish to single out for commendation the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, psc, mnips, for the comprehensive security measures put in place across our beloved state, which ensured a peaceful and hitch-free Yuletide”.
“Unlike the previous years where we experienced violent incidents and high pitch activities of criminals, from 24th of December till today, which marks the end of the year, Rivers State has been peaceful. It has been so because CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale has deployed tactical teams to strategic locations, including entry and exit points, waterways, motor parks, hotels, recreation centres, churches, mosques and other identified hotspots.”
“We therefore, must highly commend the Commissioner of Police for visible policing, enhancing surveillance and ensuring rapid response to any security threat during the Yuletide celebrations.”
“Also worthy of praise are the Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers especially in Orashi region for the operational and intelligence assets deployed across their areas of responsibility, which ensured effective policing and a smooth festive season.”
“We hereby charge our people to always cooperate with the Commissioner of Police and his officers by providing useful information and intelligence so that criminal activities can easily be nipped in the bud.”
