ONC Pays Courtesy Visit To DPO Ahoada Divisional Headquarters 

Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has paid a courtesy visit to CSP Olaoye Seun, the Divisional Police Officer at Ahoada Divisional Headquarters. 

The ONC paid the visit on Tuesday 17th March, 2026.

In his speech during the visit, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), the ONC President General said, “It is with great pleasure and intense gratefulness that by the special grace of God Almighty I  led this great delegation for a courtesy visit to you sir, in appreciation of your faithful discharge of duties as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ahoada Divisional Headquarters towards the promotion of security, healthy-cohesion and peaceful coexistence among the people within Ahoada jurisdiction”.

 

“We pledge our cooperation and total support to you as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ahoada Divisional Headquarters. We are here to welcome you and to congratulate you on your assumption of office. We thank you for providing effective policing in Ahoada Division and we are here to assure you of our cooperation.”

 

“The Orashi National Congress is an independent socio-cultural umbrella organization of Orashi people, whose aims and objective among others are the advocation for sustainable security and preaching of peace, national unity and justice particularly to enlighten and mobilize Orashi people to always use dialogue in resolving conflicts and consulting with security agencies.”

 

“We in the congress have the aims and the ambition of contributing our quota towards bettering the society by creating conducive industrial environment with focus on actualizing the ideal of better society and reduction of crime like cultism, pipeline vandalization, youth restiveness and terrorism etc. We carry out the following activities: public enlightenment campaign for the returns of arms illegally possessed, national unity and security workshop, Orashi peace walk (aka) Waka for peace, talk shop for military/civilian cordial interface, anti-pipeline vandalization campaign, anti-bunkering initiative, anti-kidnapping campaign, operation walk with security agencies and operation give honour to traditional rulers, just to mention but few.

 

We are here also to identify and partner with you on the realization of continuous peaceful co-existence campaign in the area.”

 

Let me, on behalf of the leadership of the Orashi National Congress, most humbly express our solidarity with you once again, more grace to your elbow sir, having carried out a critical examination of your performance in office, pages of paper cannot contain our gratitude.”

 

“We hereby pledge our loyalty and support to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force” Ambassador Ibe concluded.

In his remarks, the Ahoada DPO, CSP Olaoye Seun thanked the ONC for the visit. He said he is in Ahoada for effective policing.

CSP Olaoye said that the ONC is a group he will like to collaborate with in ensuring the security of lives and property in his Division. He charged the group to always furnish the Police with relevant information to aid the officers to nip criminal activities in the bud. He emphasized that Police operatives are not spirits and so need genuine collaboration with the people for effective policing.

He also charged the ONC to imbibe the slogan “see something and say something”, asking them to immediately report any suspicious movements within their areas for prompt attention. He said that his doors are open to the ONC for fruitful synergy while assuring confidentiality as it relates to identities of people who have useful information.
