ONC Mourns Late High Chief Wilson Chikwuemeka Echikpu JP

Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of Late High Chief Wilson Chikwuemeka Echikpu JP, the Orhukagba I of Upata Kingdom in Ekpeye land, from Edeoha Community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

 

In a condolence message issued in Ahoada, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, Amb. Emeni Ibe, described the passing of High Chief Echikpu as a great loss not only to his immediate family and community but also to the entire Orashi region.

Amb. Ibe noted that the late traditional leader was a man of peace, wisdom, and integrity who contributed immensely to community development, cultural preservation, and the unity of Ekpeye land.

“The Orashi Nation has lost one of its finest traditional figures whose leadership and fatherly guidance will be greatly missed. We stand in solidarity with the Echikpu family and the good people of Edeoha Community during this moment of grief,” the statement read.

The ONC leadership prayed for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed elder statesman.

“May the gentle soul of Late High Chief Wilson Chikwuemeka Echikpu JP rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
