ONC Calls On Govt & Security Agencies To Intervene Urgently In Omoku

Following serious panic among residents of Omoku as a result of a shooting incident in which one individual reportedly opened fire on seven persons, last night, resulting in the immediate death of one victim, the President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has called for the urgent intervention of government and security agencies. 
“Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred in the late hours of Sunday within the town. According to accounts, the suspect suddenly began shooting, leaving several people injured, I humbly request the intervention of the Rivers State Police Command and other security agencies to bring the situation under control.”
“One of the victims was confirmed dead on the spot, while the remaining six sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.”
“We have strong confidence in the Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale and his team. We are calling on security agencies to intensify patrols and ensure the safety of lives and property in the area.”
“Authorities are expected to issue an official statement as investigations continue as there is need for urgent attention to the situation currently.”
