The Director, Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), Abuja, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, has delivered a strategic lecture to cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, on the 13th of September 2025, as part of the Academy’s ongoing Strategic Lecture Series.
The Deputy Commandant, on behalf of the Commandant, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, MSc (UK), MBA (USA), PSC, received the Director and his team of experts who spoke on key cybercrime areas including OSINT, Digital Forensics, Blockchain Analytics, and Cryptocurrency Investigations.
The Director also noted the absence of cybersecurity courses in the Academy’s curriculum, recommending its inclusion as a general course and the establishment of a dedicated Department of Cybersecurity to better equip future officers.
The engagement highlighted the Academy’s resolve to produce officers who are both field-ready and technologically equipped to tackle the evolving challenges of modern-day policing.
