The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, has said that the President Bola Tinubu Tax reform policy was to salvage the country’s economy from the hand of cabals.
He stated this on Monday during the second mega empowerment and town hall meeting held in Ipokia local government area of Ogun state, noting that unlike before when the economy was being controlled by selected few.
He posited that before the assumption of office by President Bola Tinubu, the Nigeria economy was in the hands of saboteurs, which affected the larger percentage of Nigerians.
Adeola noted that Tinubu tax reform policy has brought a holistic and drastic change to the repealed tax law.
He said, “I’m happy that we have an economy now because it is no more in the hands of selected few anymore, or guided by cabals.
“Tinubu tax reform policy is in the best imtereat of Nigeria economy, having spend more than 10 years in Senate and member of different committees, I can tell you that I know more.
“This reform is for the good people of Federal Republic of Nigeria, now, we can say that we have economy that is not guided by slected few.
“When Tinubu assumed office this time around, we have holistic and drastic changes of tax laws. That is why, as your representative, I’m supporting the policy, I want to specially thank him for the job well-done”.
He also lauded the governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for making Ogun state an economy attraction to business and industry, particularly the Agro-cargo airport, and drilling of Tongeji Island and Dry port in Abeokuta.
Yayi posited that those projects are noticeable for economy reform and development, thereby attracting more investment to Ogun.
