Pearl Okafor, the new wife of Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, has opened up about the origin of their relationship, describing their first meeting as a miraculous event arranged by God.
Pearl, in a heartfelt declaration, stated that their union was “divinely orchestrated” and beyond human arrangement.
“We met by divine orchestration. It was something that would have never happened by human efforts. God actually put us together,” she said.
“He is my sugar daddy. He is my boyfriend. He is my husband. He is my best friend, and he is still my daddy.”
Expressing her hopes for their future, Pearl added, “I am looking forward to carrying his children. Little versions of him. I want to watch them grow. I want to watch my family bask in God’s glory”.
Okafor echoed her sentiments, expressing firm conviction in his choice of marrying her.
“I had no doubt about it. I knew what I wanted and going to. And I am happy,” he said.
The public display of love arrives as the cleric faces a series of allegations from actress Doris Ogala.
The controversy began after Ogala alleged that she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017.
Her claims surfaced last weekend after a video of Okafor’s engagement to Pearl began circulating on social media.
The actress alleged that she left her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence and accused the cleric of betraying her after years of intimacy and assurances of marriage.
The film star also disclosed that she has been grappling with suicidal thoughts. She later issued an ultimatum asking Okafor to either marry her or financially “settle” her by purchasing a house.
Despite the threat, the wedding ceremony between Chris Okafor and Pearl proceeded last Tuesday, attended by family and friends, prompting Ogala to serve a pre-action notice on the cleric.
In a letter dated December 16 and addressed to Okafor, Ogala’s counsel accused the cleric of breaching a promise of marriage and demanded N1 billion in damages.
