In what many now call a sign of light at the end of a long, dark tunnel, the newly elected Chairman of Ifite Awkuzu, Mr. Cosmas Ikefu, has become a beacon of trust, hope, and justice for the voiceless sons and daughters of the community.
As the crisis of community land grabbing intensifies, threatening to escalate into violent confrontations, Mr. Cosmas took a decisive and symbolic step. He visited the embattled *Agbagolu* site, located along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State, to deliver a firm and fearless message: Ifite Awkuzu land is not for sale, and any would-be land grabber should look elsewhere.
Upon his arrival with members of the community, those illegally occupying the land fled the scene, abandoning their equipment. The act was powerful not just in message but in impact, it was a reclaiming of territory and identity.
This single, bold action resonated far beyond politics. It ignited something deeper, a spiritual and cultural reawakening. Mr. Cosmas has stirred a collective pride that has long been buried under the weight of chaos, corruption, and helplessness.
Today, Ifite Awkuzu has rediscovered its voice. This moment serves as a powerful reminder: it is not what you take from your community that defines your legacy, it is what you give back.
