It was a political boost today in Lagos as the Progressive Pathfinder Group formally aligned with the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group during a crucial meeting that lasted several hours at the Ogba residence of the late APC chieftain, Pa Sunny Ajose.
The Progressive Pathfinder Group, founded by the late Pa Sunny Ajose, was represented by its national leadership team led by Pa Bayo Adesanya, the group’s National Chairman and first son of the late Pa Abraham Adesanya. He was joined by Hon. Segun Olufelo (Deputy National Chairman), Hon. Koye Adejumo (Director General), Mrs. Caro Olayinka (BOT member), Hon. Fatai Abdulkareem (BOT member), and Mr. Adedokun Adeyemi (Financial Secretary).
On the side of the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group were Hon. Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, Director General; Princess Bolarinwa Alade, National Women Leader; and Pius Ade Babaleye (PAB), Director of Media and Information, among other stakeholders.
In his welcome address, Pa Bayo Adesanya expressed deep appreciation for the hand of fellowship extended by the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group. He reaffirmed the Progressive Pathfinder Group’s loyalty to the re-election project of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and the “second coming” of Akinwunmi Ambode as Lagos State Governor.
Adesanya recalled his close relationship with Ambode during his tenure as governor and declared the group’s readiness to go the extra mile to actualize both leaders’ political ambitions. He further noted that once the team approached him, he did not hesitate to submit his group under the umbrella of the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group.
Responding, Hon. Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, DG of Tinubu-Ambo Support Group, warmly welcomed the Progressive Pathfinder Group into the campaign fold. He promised to issue them a formal letter of recommendation and recognition, while also directing them to maintain their structure under the banner of the Tinubu-Ambo Pathfinder Chapter. He emphasized that the group’s activities would not be limited to Lagos but would extend across the Southwest and all 36 states of the Federation.
In his closing remarks, Pa Bayo Adesanya thanked Dr. Bamigbade for the warm reception and officially appointed Hon. Segun Olufelo as the group’s representative to work directly with the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Olufelo pledged total commitment, promising to bring new politicians into the fold and strengthen the political movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
This alignment marks a major step in consolidating grassroots support for the Tinubu-Ambo political project, signaling renewed momentum for both President Tinubu’s second term and Ambode’s anticipated return to Lagos leadership.
