Ipokia Celebrates YAYI’s ₦10Million Support For 5th Coronation Anniversary

The Distinguished Lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator (Aremo) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), once again wrote his name in the sociopolitical history of Ipokia by giving hope and delivering impact at the grand 5th Coronation Anniversary of the Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, HRM Oba (Dr) Yisa Olushola Adeniyi Olaniyan (Oshingin II).

Speaking on behalf of the Senator at the well-attended celebration, Hon. Bolaji Oyeleye congratulated the monarch and the entire people of Ipokia on the milestone. He highlighted YAYI’s numerous contributions to the development of the Kingdom—ranging from road construction that revived local businesses, construction of school buildings, installation of solar-powered streetlights, provision of healthcare facilities, empowerment schemes for thousands of residents, and creation of employment opportunities for youths.

He stressed that beyond these strides in socioeconomic development, it was important to also support cultural and traditional institutions. This, he explained, informed Senator YAYI’s generous donation of ₦10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) towards the 5th Coronation Anniversary of the Onipokia. The announcement was greeted with overwhelming jubilation, as the people of Ipokia chanted praises for the “Kosheleri Senator” and showered him with prayers and accolades.

Unlike many who would turn such events into political rallies, YAYI’s approach reflects his refined brand of politics—focusing on meeting community needs in practical and people-centered ways. His unmatched contribution stood out as the largest at the occasion, leaving an indelible mark in the memories of many.

The celebration attracted eminent Nigerians including the representatives of Ogun State Government led by Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Toyin Taiwo, HE Alhaja Salmot Makanjuola Badru, Hon Ojugbele and Hon Bolaji Oyeleye representing Senator YAYI, Hon Abiodun Akinlade, Hon Avoseh Johnson Executive Chairman of Ipokia LG, Hon Bisi Oyedele Citiside, Hon Muse, Hon Wale Aderohunmu, Hon Akovoyon, Hon Azeez Osunbiyi, Hon Sikirat Ajibola, Hon Adeyanju, all Ipokia Chiefs and Baales, business moguls like Asiwaju Babajide Titus Oppresso, Alhaji Taye Elegbede, Alhaji Fatai Ajibola, Alhaji Akeem Bounrvita and several others.

The Alaafin of Oyo, HIM Oba Owoade and The Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, HRM Oba (Dr) Kehinde Olugbenle led other First Class Monarchs across Ogun West and beyond to grace the occasion.

The occasion also featured the installation of new chiefs, including: –  Hon. Chief Olawale Wasiu Agbetokun (Onikoyi), installed as the Agbaakin of Ipokia Kingdom

-Hon. Chief Kabir Abiola Abolurin, installed as the Aremo of Ipokia Kingdom

-Chief Adeyinka Quadri, installed as Bobadara of Ipokia Kingdom

The people of Ipokia, at home and abroad, trooped out in their thousands to celebrate the historic day. News of Senator YAYI’s ₦10Million donation quickly spread through communities, compounds, and villages, sparking widespread jubilation.

In appreciation, Kabiesi, the chiefs, and the entire people of Ipokia Kingdom expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Senator. The leadership of CAUCUS 7202 in Ipokia LG also commended YAYI for his consistent support, especially his recent distribution of electricity transformers to various communities across the Local Government and beyond.
