It was simply the traditional wedding of the year in Imo for the record time as Eziama community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state experienced a convergence of culture, class, and celebration of mutual love  on Saturday, 6th September, 2025, as the Chairman of Charlvon Limited, a billionaire oil magnet, boardroom business strategist, and respected community leader — Prince Charles  Amadi—  gave out his daughter (Amarachi Amadi)’s hands in marriage — to an Njaba born Abuja based real estate mogul — Chief Ikenna Power Okoro— amid celebration with express permission of both families in the presence of their friends and invited guests as witnesses.
The expanded venue of the watershed event cited on over 20 hectares of land with a lakeside at the Eziama palatial country home of Prince Charles Amadi, lit up with glamour and excitement, transcending the bounds of a family celebration into a gathering of eminent personalities; captains of industry in the oil and gas sector, road construction giants, traditional rulers of note, Imo political gladiators, members of the ivory tower, community leaaders, and numerous well wishers, who honoured the invitation of the Amadis  and Okoros to celebrate their children’s most significant day— traditional marriage with hashtags: #AILOVE2025| #POWERINLOVE2025.
Indeed, it was a celebration of love, mutual respect, cross-cultural heritage  between the Igbos of Imo State and Benins of Edo State as the beautiful bride — Amarachi Amadi — walked down the aisle accompanied by her Edo bridal train as she sought for her groom  — Ikenna Okoro— to drink from the keg of palmwine presented to her by the parents as tradition demanded.
The Chairman of the auspicious occasion, a former governor of Imo State— His Excellency, Chief Dr. Ikedi Ohakim—  whose presence added colour, grandeur, and historical weight to the ceremony, was seen smiling and exchanging compliments with other guests. In his goodwill message, Dr. Ohakim commended Prince Charles Amadi and his lovely wife for their good family values, lauded the son— Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi — member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for his effective representation of the Mbaike people, and prayed for the couple’s blissful union.
The colourful event also featured full spectrum of Igbo tradition: the bride’s graceful performance of her marital rites, cultural dance ensembles, electrified gospel songs, and vibrant attires that reflected the pride of Igbo rich cultural heritage and the ancient Benin Kingdom. Guests were treated to lavish meals, and served choice wines as dignitaries  exchanged pleasantries while expressing heartfelt felicitations to their Chief Host — Prince Charles Chukwuemeka Amadi and family— memories they would treasure for a long time.

Of course, the Queen Mother and amazon of a woman  — Her Royal Majesty, Ugoeze Dr.  Shirley Ngozi Okwudimma (Adakaibeya), who was conspicuously captured at the event as she radiated elegance and beauty on her deep red and black ceremonial gown with rich embellishments in bronze tones with emerald green details in the pattern matching a delicate orange tone  headgear beautifully styled sitting on her majesty as symbolic of a crown befitting royalty.
The celebration climaxed with feasting, music, and merriment, leaving indelible memories for all who attended. For  Eziama and the larger Ikeduru community, the day stood as both a celebration of love and a reaffirmation of the Igbo spirit of kinship and heritage.
