The BoT Chairman of the Obagi Oil Fields Host Communities Development Trust (Obagi-HCDT), Uhuo-Ka-Egi 1 of Egi Kingdom, High Chief Dike Hopeson Dike, on Thursday, 11th September, 2025, played host to the leadership of the Orashi National Congress (ONC) during a courtesy visit to his office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The ONC delegation was led by its President General, Ambassador Emeni Ibe, accompanied by the Deputy President and Chairman of ONELGA Chapter, Dr. Davis Ojima.
In his speech, Amb Comrade Ibe said, “On behalf of the executive council and the entire membership of the congress, the delegation have come to honour you with an Award and Certificate of Excellence, The decision to bestow this honour on you was taken after due consultation and deliberation by the leadership of the congress at her 433 meeting in Omoku Town on the 7th June, 2025 wherein you are nominated for the award which is in recognition of your effective discharge of your responsibility as BOT Chairman Obagi Oil Field Development Trust in line with the petroleum Industry Act (PIA). The congress resolves to formally honour you in appreciation of your outstanding performance. “
“We appreciate your commitment in the area of promotion of peace and security in Orashi region of Rivers State by your leadership, this is a vote of confidence on your good office.”
“We lack words to express the profound gratitude of our people but all we can say is a ‘big thank you’ and you can rest assured of our continued cooperation.

1. Campaign against pipeline vandalism
2. Campaign against illegal refinery and kpo fire
3. Campaign against cultism and promotion of industrial harmony
4. Promotion of peace and security,
5. Operation work with traditional rulers, IOCs and security agencies just to mention but a few.”
“We appeal to you to use your good office to support us on our forthcoming second edition of the Orashi peace, Unity and Industrial harmony campaign summit across on the 21st November, 2025, in Ahoada Town, wherein you are requested to graciously be the chairman of the occasion and we are going to bring to you full details of the program for your perusal and necessary inputs.”
In their goodwill remarks, the ONC leaders lauded High Chief Dike Hopeson Dike for his visionary leadership, unwavering dedication and commitment to the development and industrialization of the 54 host communities under Obagi-HCDT.
Also as a mark of appreciation, the Board Chairman was presented with a Certificate of Honour and a Plaque of Recognition for his outstanding contributions towards improving the lives of indigenes of the OML 58 Communities.
An Opinion Leader in Egi, Hon. Dr, Ogide Essor-Sunny (The Onu-Ri-Ebubu of Egiland), was there to witness the historic event; a true recognition of service, impact and leadership.
