Senator Douye Diri is a perfect description of Jesus’s talk about prophets that are not honoured by their own people.
While our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ performed wonders and recorded great miracles in many places, little was said and known about Him in Nazareth, his nativity. It was so because they knew His parents, lowly background, and even his place of birth. He was not valued and respected by the same people He was sent from heaven to redeem.
Countries, organizations, and institutions are hearing about the good works of Gov. Douye Diri and they are celebrating him. The above is evidence in the number of Ambassadors, organizations, and institutions that are honouring him.
Countless organizations and institutions are sending several invitations and notifications to His Excellency about awards and other honours, but he accepts and honours only few. The governor believes that awards and other recognitions should come at the end of his tenure in office.
Today, his giant strides have shut many antagonists and naysayers up. His humility, unassuming disposition, accessibility, compassion for the needy and vulnerable, and his passion for service delivery have disarmed even his worst critics.
Hunters see many things both night and day, but they talk less. Gov. Douye Diri knows so many things in the country, including classified information that ordinary people do not know. Most actions of leaders are influenced by information at their disposal.
Driving, on the other hand, is one of the most difficult work or thing to indulge. It is full of calculations and tactical maneuvering. Every driver is taught to see another driver as a mad man. It is so because you may not know what is going through the mind of the other, besides the issue of domestic, emotional, and psychological challenges that other drivers may be suffering. In some cases, it is possible that the car is driven by a learner or someone who has not learned or driven a car in life.
Occupants of vehicles do not see or experience most of the things that drivers go through in the process. In most cases, they chat or sleep off, while the driver struggle to take them to their destinations very safely.
Every good hunter strives to get good prey or game to feed families and other dependents.
In the same vein, the safety of occupants of the vehicle is paramount to the driver.
Gov. Douye Diri is known as a peace ambassador and a Unifier. He is so blessed that his Body Language alone is capable of enthroning total peace and unity.
The formal defection of the governor has aligned the state to the government at the centre. It has also brought unprecedented peace. It has enshrined political security. Loyalists and followers of His Excellency, who are potential aspirants and candidates, are sure of their stance. They will have confidence that party primaries shall not be upturned or reversed by court judgements. They shall be rest assured since there are no factions as against the case of PDP that has so many factions.
Finally, it is pertinent to use this opportunity to commend, appreciate, and applaud vast majority of Bayelsans for standing with the governor. Their organic support, loyalty and solidarity have remained great sources of strength to our God-sent generational leader. By the special grace of God, Gov. Douye Diri shall finish strong.
