Freedom Of 38 Abductees: Amb. Ibe Lauds President Tinubu & Calls For Improvement Of Operational Communication 

Following the announcement of the freedom of 38 persons, who were recently abducted in an attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara State, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the security agencies. 

 

Amb. Ibe said, “I’m delighted to hear about the release of the people abducted from the church in Kwara State. I must commend President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, for personally leading the efforts to free the abductees”.

 

“I was also happy about the genuine disposition of Mr. President as he called off his scheduled trip for the G20 Meeting in South Africa to attend to the breaches in Kwara and Kebbi States. His actions underlined his firm commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all Nigerians.”

 

“I must equally commend Mr. President for directing the withdrawal of Police officers attached to VIPs to aid in the current fight against the recent surge in criminality and insurgency. While I extend my appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Intelligence Agency, and the Nigeria Police, I urge for more collaboration in sharing of intelligence in order to effectively take total control of the situation.”

“While I condole with the Army over the loss of a Brigadier General, I call on Mr. President to look seriously at the improvement of operational communication with immediate provision of sophisticated equipment to boost the operations of the troops in the fight against criminal elements and insurgent groups.”
