A United States–based cleric, Dr. Moshood Fayemiwo of The Jesus Christ Solution Center and The E-Congregation Assembly Bible Classes, Texas, has announced plans for a two-day evangelical outreach in Akwa Ibom State.

Dr. Fayemiwo made the disclosure on Wednesday, 20th August, 2025, during a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Nsibiet John, where he solicited the Union’s partnership in the spiritual exercise.

The event, themed “Are You Born Again?”, is scheduled to hold on Friday, 22nd August, and Saturday, 23rd August, 2025, at the NUJ Secretariat, Uyo.

According to him, the programme is Holy Spirit–inspired and will serve as an avenue for journalists and residents of the state to encounter God’s power and blessings.

“God called me to take the Good News of salvation, procured on the Cross of Calvary by the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, to the ends of the earth. That is why we have come to the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State,” Dr. Fayemiwo declared.

He also assured the Union of his continued support, both spiritually and otherwise, to strengthen the work of journalists in the state.

Responding, Comrade Nsibiet John commended Dr. Fayemiwo for choosing NUJ as a partner in the outreach, describing it as a positive development for the Union.

“We believe in the place of prayers, because they strengthen us and provide direction. This administration inherited a legacy of service and is committed to doing more. Your presence and partnership are a clear indication that the Union is on the right track,” the NUJ chairman stated.
