
The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has extended a warm welcome to 38 newly deployed staff members from the Local Government Civil Service Commission.
Dir. Admin & HR, Comrade Jubril Olusegun Aliu, introduced the 38 senior members of staff to the Executive Chairman and the entire management team.
In a ceremony to mark their arrival the Council Chairman, Comrade Dauda, expressed his enthusiasm about the new additions to the Ikeja Local Government family, emphasizing the importance of their roles in driving the administration’s vision for a better Ikeja.
The council boss urged the newly deployed members of staff to be good ambassadors of the Local Government, committed to their duties, and view their appointments as a privilege and not take it for granted. According to him, every individual is from a home and they should uphold the values and virtues of their various homes in the larger society especially at the office. He emphasized the need for them to discharge their duties effectively and efficiently, respect their bosses and ensuring excellent service delivery to the community.
They are expected to contribute to various departments, units enhancing their potentials making a career for themselves as the civil service job guaranteed job security and improve life through monthly salary and other juicy opportunities.
Comrade Dauda assured the new staff of the administration’s support in their new roles, encouraging them to work with dedication and professionalism.
The ceremony underscored Ikeja Local Government’s commitment to building a competent and dynamic workforce.
Finally, as a civil servant it is obligatory to get their permanent voters card so that they can be to fufil their fundamental human rights to vote as at when due.
Mr. Bakare Mustapha, who spoke on behalf of the new staff, appreciated the Executive Chairman and management team for their warm welcome to the Corporate Local Government and promised they will put in their best to add values to the progress n development of the Corporate Local Government.
