The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Tuesday visited the scene of a recent fire outbreak in Computer Village, Ikeja, to commiserate with affected business owners and assess the level of damage recorded.

The fire incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, destroyed goods worth several millions of naira and disrupted business activities within the affected building. Preliminary findings traced the cause of the outbreak to a high-voltage electricity surge.

He also emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to safety precautions, particularly in handling electrical installations, in order to prevent future occurrences.
