OLALEKAN ONI

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), today joined Muslim faithful across Ikeja to observe the Eid prayer marking the successful completion of the 2026 Ramadan fast.

The prayer session was held at the Anifowoshe Muslim Praying Ground, Anifowoshe Primary School, Anifowoshe, Ikeja, where hundreds of worshippers gathered in unity and devotion.

The Eid prayer, which signifies the end of the holy month of Ramadan, was described as historic, being the first of its kind under the AKOD administration.

The Council Chairman participated fully in the prayers and used the opportunity to reflect on the values of sacrifice, discipline, and compassion imbibed during the fasting period.

Addressing the congregation, Comrade Dauda emphasized the importance of sustaining the virtues of love, peace, and unity beyond Ramadan. He urged residents to continue to promote harmonious coexistence and support government efforts aimed at the growth and development of Ikeja Local Government.

He further prayed for continued peace, progress, and prosperity for Ikeja, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large, while wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous and fulfilling Eid celebration.
