Following the forthcoming Local Government elections and the revalidation exercise by civil servants in Rivers State, tthe Society Campaign Council for Tinubu 2027, Rivers State Chapter, has postponed its inaugural meeting as part of preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, themed under the group’s motto “Victory Assured 2027,” was earlier scheduled to hold today Wednesday, 27th August, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Brooklyn Hotel, Prelemaberi Street, Diline, Port Harcourt.

Ambassador Emeni Ibe (JP, AP), Rivers State Coordinator of the Council, announced the postponement having earlier extended cordial invitation to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) that are aligned with and supportive of the current administration.

Ambassador Ibe highlighted the importance of the inaugural meeting, which warranted the postponement. He said it will serve as a platform to officially launch the Rivers State Chapter, mobilize grassroots support, and outline strategic plans ahead of the election campaign period.
When the Council fixes a new date, it is expected to draw representatives of pro-government NGOs, CBOs, and grassroots mobilizers from across Rivers State.
