Buruj Football Club has commended the management of the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) for introducing several innovative digital initiatives aimed at improving the organization, visibility, and global reach of the league.
During a recent engagement session with clubs, the NLO management unveiled key updates and new systems designed to modernize league operations ahead of the 2026 season. One of the major announcements was that club registration for the upcoming season will officially commence on 13th March, 2026, with all payments to be processed directly through the NLO website via each club’s dashboard. This move is expected to enhance transparency and simplify the registration process for participating teams.
Another major improvement is the introduction of a club management dashboard, which will allow clubs to independently manage player registrations and transfers through their profiles. The system is also designed to help clubs properly position their players on the platform, making it easier for scouts, investors, and football stakeholders to access player information.
In addition, the NLO has launched a Media Centre on its website. This feature will serve as an official activity update page for clubs, functioning similarly to social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, where teams can publish updates, announcements, and other club-related content.
The league also emphasized that only the NLO will retain the rights to livestream matches across all league centres, a move intended to ensure uniform coverage and maintain broadcast standards across the competition.
Further enhancements to the NLO platform include innovative features such as Player of the Week recognition, a media builder for clubs, and plans to introduce AI-powered player analysis. The platform will also provide easy access to a comprehensive player database, making it accessible to both local and international football markets.
Reacting to the developments, Buruj Football Club praised the NLO management for embracing technology and creating opportunities that will boost player visibility and professional growth within the league.
The club noted that these initiatives will not only improve league administration but will also help attract investors, scouts, and football stakeholders from across the world.
Meanwhile, Buruj Football Club confirmed that it is intensifying preparations for the 2026 NLO season, with the team focused on building a competitive squad and ensuring all administrative and technical requirements are completed ahead of the registration deadline.
The club expressed optimism that the new initiatives introduced by the NLO will elevate the standard of the league and create a stronger platform for grassroots football development in Nigeria.
Buruj Football Club reaffirmed its commitment to participating actively in the upcoming season while supporting reforms that will strengthen the future of Nigerian football.
