Big Brother Naija Season 10 has officially kicked off with a bang, bringing an eclectic mix of 29 housemates ready to vie for the staggering N150 million worth of prizes. And barely a few days in, the house is already simmering with intense personalities, budding alliances, and enough gbas gbos to keep us glued to our screens!
The double launch weekend on July 26th and 27th introduced us to the full cast. On Saturday, the 15 female housemates made their grand entrance, showcasing a diverse range of professions and backgrounds, from lawyers and chefs to models and content creators.
Sunday saw the arrival of the 14 male housemates, each bringing their unique flavour of charisma, ambition, and a touch of unpredictability.
Early Impressions: Who Caught Our Eye?
Right from the get-go, certain housemates have been making waves. Among the ladies, Big Soso, the 28-year-old lawyer and chef, quickly established herself with her confident demeanor and self-sufficient spirit. Her Northern grace, coupled with a “spicy streak,” has piqued viewers’ interest.
Then there’s Dede, 23, who radiates a fierce, unbothered vibe, unapologetically being herself, even if it “irritates” some.
Doris, a “chaos connoisseur” at 33, promises to be a source of entertainment with her savage honesty and ability to “fan the flames.” And who could miss Gigi Jasmine, the 31-year-old DJ who can “read your soul before you speak” and is ready to “electrify your screen”?
On the male side, Koyin, a 21-year-old model, has openly declared his desire to stir up “relationship drama.”
Rooboy, the 29-year-old hypeman, lives up to his name, promising “fire, loyalty, and drama with full confidence and raw energy – no filter, no fakeness.” And Faith, a 25-year-old doctor who describes himself as “flirty” and “polyamorous,” has already set tongues wagging with whispers of potential plotlines.
The Drama Unfolds: First Clashes and HOH!
It wouldn’t be BBNaija without the drama, and Season 10 wasted no time delivering! In a swift turn of events, Jason Jae, the creative director from Ondo State, emerged as the first Head of House. However, his reign wasn’t without its immediate challenges.
The house quickly witnessed its first food fight as Isabella and Thelma went head-to-head, a classic BBNaija staple that signals more clashes to come. Adding to the tension, Imisi was seen clashing with the new HOH, Jason Jae, over kitchen control, indicating that personalities are already rubbing each other the wrong way.
There have also been reports of minor spats involving Sultana and Ivatar, and Rooboy and Kuture, showing that the dynamics are shifting rapidly.
With 29 distinct personalities under one roof, navigating new rules like the Sunday Head of House challenge and the “Influential Player of the Week,” this season promises to be a thrilling ride. Alliances are forming, tensions are building, and the stage is set for an unpredictable journey.
