The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, who doubles as the National President of Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Senator Barinada Mpigi, who passed on at 64.
Amb. Ibe said, “Rivers State has been thrown into mourning today following the news of the death of the lawmaker representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Barinada Mpigi”.
“I received the news with shock and sadness because Rivers people will miss his quality representation, which he started from the Federal House of Representatives before moving to the Senate.”
“I condole with the Senate President, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio and his distinguished colleagues at the National Assembly. I equally extend my heartfelt condolences to the Rivers State Government, the good people of Rivers South-East Senatorial District and the entire Mpigi Family over this sad incident.”
“May Senator Barinada Mpigi’s soul rest in peace and may God deeply console his immediate family in Jesus name, Amen!” Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe concluded.
