The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has commended the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Her Excellency Prof Ngozi Odu and the Flood Prevention and Management Committee for their visit to Orashi region.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Amb. Emeni Ibe applauded Prof. Ngozi Odu for her genuine commitment to cater for the communities affected by flooding within the Orashi region.
“I must highly commend our mother and proud daughter of the Orashi region, Her Excellency Prof Ngozi Odu, for always showing genuine interest to cater for the welfare of our people. She has once again displayed her motherly concerns alongside the Flood Prevention and Management Committee by seeing to the provisions of relief materials to flood-affected communities most especially in the four Local Government Areas of Orashi region.”
“The Committee led by Her Excellency Prof Ngozi Odu took further steps with their visit to Orashi today and they must be highly commended for their commitment to the well-being of the persons and families affected by the recent flooding in the area.”
“I will also use this medium to charge the officials at the Local Council areas to ensure that the relief materials are not turned into political purposes but distributed to the genuinely affected persons and families.”
