Abimbola Odunmbaku Leads Ojodu LCDA Women To Participate In Lagos State International Women’s Day Celebration 

Women from Ojodu LCDA, under the leadership of the Wife of the Chairman, Mrs Abimbola Odunmbaku actively participated in the International Women’s Day celebration organized by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

The colourful event brought together women from across the state in a vibrant display of unity, resilience and advocacy for gender inclusion.

The delegation from Ojodu LCDA, which had the Vice Chairman, Hon. Funmilayo Layeni and APC Women Leader, Alhaja Bukkky Badmus, joined other participants in commemorating the global celebration, which highlights the achievements of women and calls for accelerated action toward gender equality.

 

The event was graced by Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Mrs. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who served as the Chief Host, alongside the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Bada and other top government functionaries.

In their respective remarks, they emphasized the importance of empowering women through education, economic opportunities and supportive policies.

Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, who is also Chair of the Lagos State Council Chairmans Wives Association (LSCCWA), commended the Lagos State Government for its consistent commitment to women’s development and inclusion whilst also reaffirming LSCCWA’s dedication to initiatives that promote the welfare, empowerment and active participation of women in governance and community development which is in line with the THEMES+ Agenda of the Lagos State Government.
